María José Rovira is an expert in Administrative Law and Regulated Sector, with more than 20 years in Environmental and Climate Change particularly with respect to industrial and energy sectors; in Infrastructure and Water hydraulic, specially projects and public service provision; in Chemical Substances-REACH/CLP-, Dangerous Goods-ADR-, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Phyto-sanitary Products, or Genetically Modified Compounds, among others. She has a wide variety of Clients, national and international, from the main sectors of the Iberian industrial fabric and she habitually collaborate with their business associations and federations (among others, FEIQUE, ANEABE, ANFABRA ASELUBE, AEPLA, ASPAPEL, VETERINDUSTRIA, ADELMA or ANAIP) and representative institutions such as CEOE.
She is ranked internationally in the main directories from 2011: Chambers and Partners, Legal500 or Best Lawyers in the practice areas of Environment and Climate Change. She was renowned and panellist in Women Summit Forbes 20/20 on The Sustainability.
She has a Phd in Law from the University of Valencia and a Degree in Law from the University of Navarra. Postgraduate degree in EU Law and EU Institutions from the Diplomatic School, Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Her professional career has been developed largely in the legal firm Gomez Acebo & Pombo, and previously in Ariño y Villar Abogados.
She has authored more than 40 publications, articles in specialised trade magazines and collective publications. In addition, frequent lecturer in various post-graduate programs, masters, and seminars including those at the IE, Universidad San Pablo CEU; ICADE, Club de la Energia, or the National Institute of Public Administrations (INAP).
